[Closed] Thinking of running wing nuts on my tubeless Presta valves, what size?

Just to screw them down tight to ensure they're air tight and because I think they'd look pretty interesting, I fancy trying wing nuts instead of those flimsy thin standard nuts. What thread size, M5?

They don't need to be that tight, you've got sealant in there right?

go too tight and most brands will pull right through

A wingnut is also more likely to get caught on something and unscrew itself

Ah. Good idea that.

Sometimes, if your tubeless fails to seal and you need to put a tube in, the little screw is too stiff to turn.....

I just push it down from the inside with my thumb to compress the rubber so I can do it up tight and take the pressure off the lock nut long enough to start undoing it. Works every time.
