Toying with the idea of 69ering my cannondale hardtail. I have a 100mm lefty in there at the mo, which I could spacer out to give 80mm and allow enough clearance for the 29er front wheel. Question is, will the extra radius slacken the bike too much? I find the geometry quite nice at the moment, but could get use to half a degree slacker if that's all it'd be.

I thought the slacker head angle, height and overall geometry change might be a problem when building "frankenbike" but i recon it rides better than the off the peg Trek 69er i've also got.
Do it! this sort of experimentation is what eBay is for [s]when[/s] if it all goes wrong!
