Im racing at Snetterton all weekend and was planning on sneaking off to Thetford late Saturday afternoon, early evening. Was wondering what time they shut the visitors centre and if its quite early where else is the best place to park.

Don't go to High Lodge, I'm sure it closes at night. Head towards Brandon and either park in the car park near the nursing home (50p I think) or any of the fire roads that meet the main road. Sorry I don't know any road numbers!

I think that the Brandon Country park, car park, also closes when it gets dark.

Last week I parked in the Mayday car park.

We park there every week and it's open when we leave at about 8:30pm. There's normally still some cars in the car park too.

Just make sure you have 50p of shrapnel on you.

I park around about here at the end of one of the fire roads. Cant remember the number - maybe 10 ?? I'm sure one of the locals will confirm.
Enough space for about 4 cars I think. You can pick up the black(!) run about 10m up the fire road.

However if you want the best riding then go to the west side of the road. No marked trails but they are much more fun. Go and explore 😉

Brandon country Park is open 24/7, they need access to the old folks home so the gates are never shut.
Not a good plan to park on a fire roads at night, we have problems with youths on motor bikes breaking into cars

Agree with Paul above. Some scally's around Brandon. High Lodge is expensive and they say the gates are locked at 7pm but I have been in ther until 9pm and the gates are raised the other end. So free parking!! Mind you, I bought a season ticket in the end as it was a lot cheaper than £10 for 6hrs +
Brandon Country Park is a lot cheaper but the scally's still go there. End of Fire road 11 or 10 isn't too bad. Fire rooad 10 is at the bottom of Mayday meadow. You can easily reach the "black" route from there. Or pop across the road and pick up the blue route and many off piste trails.

more important than anything, what are you racing at the weekend, planning on a trip to snetterton on sunday, as f3/gt meeting is far better than the overpriced "boring cars" in my opinion.............

Fireroad ten is a good place to park up. You'll probably see other cars there too. Go past centreparcs and it's about a mile or so down the road on the right. It's just by the beast, which is one of the most enjoyable sections on the black (a bluish shade of red at most other trail centres) route.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably park at Brandon Country Park as I will be in the works van.

Stylish, I run cars in the VW cup. We have three cars there this weekend as the 2 other drivers are on holiday. If your there look out for the white artic with the 2 Sciroccos and a Mk5 under the awning.
