As title really. It's a place that usually holds up well in bad weather. It also hasn't seen much rain recently.

Has anyone ridden it this week, if so are the additions to the Lime Burner good?

Thanks in advance

James

I rode through on Sunday evening and there were a few puddles but it was less sloppy than the cycle path that goes past Thetford Tesco! Certainly better than the rest of the bridleways I rode that night!

Rode Brandon Side, Beater, and the beginning of Lime Burner yesterday. The long Beater route was the only very muddy section, but wet and slippery rather than gloopy. Some other bits were faster than the summer sand. New rocky bits seem out of place without gradient.

It was riding very well yesterday, rode 20 miles around Brandon side and there was only the smallest amount of mud. 10 miles around various parts of Highlodge and all ok apart from the sections where the harvesting is taking place on the Lime Burner it's a total mudfest and not fun to ride at present. The new rock sections are fine best taken at speed. I might be around there tomorrow morning.

So, should I skip/avoid the long Burner route? That extra bit is well boring even in the dry!

I wouldn't bother with the Lime Burner until the harvesting is over and they restore the trails. You can still do the rock section as you can loop back up to the fire road.

Is the beast still rideable? That's part of the lime burner, no?

Just got back from there. The Beast (and Double Shocker and Rollercoaster) is fine - the harvesting currently stops at the doubletrack climb back up.

Part of the Lime Burner is closed off, but it's one of the lumpy bumpy bits so no great loss. The harvested section half way round is a bit of a muddy grindy slog but most of everything else is fine. The newer surfaced burned stuff at the start is open.

First time I've been for a while. TIMBER have done some good work improving the trails there.

Will be a bit wetter/muddy now as it's been raining hard for the last few hours.
I might still go as the kit is in the truck ready.

Rain should stop soon. Trees soak a lot of that up and the singletrack drains well.

Worst comes to worst there is always the pump track.
