got one from a few years ago seems to be ok - read works but can be erratic. If you want a rough guide it is quite good if you are doing proper training it is not the best/most accurate.

got a 12 quid lidl one maybe a month ago and it works fine, does everything I would want it to and adds some interest/motivation to turbo training (injured so cant ride). Supposed to have an encoded signal so you can use it next to someone with another one (on a different channel) without interference. 3yr warranty at that price was worth a punt.

Just bought one for £13.99. Let's see how good or bad it is.

I had one for a week or two until it bounced out of the bracket onto the road, then got run over. Apart from the bracket being crap it was ok for the money

Hmmm... initial impressions are that it may be just a tiny bit shit.

Got a Lidl HRM about a month ago. Works very well, the only thing i would say to make sure you get a good steady reading is wet/damp the back of chest piece (as per instructions)prior to fitting. when doing this i have never had a problem reading wise. Seems acurate, my mate uses a pulsar HRM and during rides both our seperate HRM's are giving there about same figures. So i would say it is pretty acurate.

When i have forgot to wet/damp the back of chest piece with water prior to fitting, then it does seem to lose signal. Never had a problem though when using it properly as per instructions.

My Lidl one has time, stop watch, target zone, recovery countdown, Calories burnt, fat burn, max HR, Min HR, Avg HR plus an alarm when not in the target zone or above target zone. What more do you want for £13???

Hmmm... after using it for a week I can confirm that it is rubbish.

It doesn't work of your bike lamp gets too close.

The HRM read 180 when I wasn't moving.

It docked me half a mile on my 7 mile commute today.

Avoid.
