Actually, just discovered that bikefix do delivery for £12 which would be a lot simpler.

Re ballast, I've never ridden with two folks on the back, but loading up very heavily does not create any problems of balance at the front end normally. The front wheel never feels in any danger of lifting while riding. The Dummy is designed with fairly light steering I think, but it is not going to wheelie with a rider on board. 🙂
