If you've got a trail bike with tapered headset that you often have a 160mm pike in for most uses (hope internal headset)...

but want to occasionally put a set of boxers or fox 40s on for uplift days and Alpine riding can you get a crown race that goes with the existing headset that goes on the 1 1/8th steerer of the dual crown forks so it's a fairly quick and easy swap?

Might be worth getting two brake adapters. So when you swap the brakes over you aren't screwing into the fork. Just into the adaptor, which is cheap and easy to replace.

Cheers guys. I was going to have a second brake already fitted so no set up faff either. Just unbolt front wheel and change the 15mm caps for 20mm ones, unbolt the brake at the bar and fit new forks.

Second question, if I fit fox 40s to a Yeti SB6c will I die?

Only when the headtube explodes off it.

In the meantime, you might find that lifting the front end by 40mm (assuming a 160mm fork right now) makes it shit anyway
