[#10027461]

My shed floor has just claimed another fiddly bit off of my bike.  This time it is one of the skinny washers that stop the rear shock mounting bolt from chewing up the lovely carbon shock mount on the frame  A quick Google suggests I need a 8 x 13 x 0.4 (obviously none of the washers I do have fit).  While I track one of these down willl I damage my bike by riding it with the washer missing if I'm careful not to over tighten the bolt?  Is there a temporary bodge like tape or something to protect the mount?  Just a little paranoid as I've not had a carbon frame before.

Won't be cheap i imagine but best i can tell you need a non iso/din size so it (other sites are available blah blah) might be your only option.

As for riding, personally i wouldn't chances death by dying are slim but there's always a chance of a ball of fire or heckish expensive ah drats.

Has the size you're looking for listed though so you may get lucky and blag a sample or two.
