Guess where?
Jenga, looking at the rock i first thought it was gabbro = black cuillin but the shape of the summit looks like Scafell to me.

That's right. Both Scafells in fact. Lowey spotted it earlier. Taken from the top of Bowfell.
These pics are reminding me that I've got a bike to clean!
I want to ride. Oh, I am tomorow :-).
Dorry no pics to offer as i'm not much of a camera person...
ourmaninthenorth, I think you should have drafted anything but a gritter!
Yeah, it was heavy going in parts..! We had a good group, so everyone got time to clean up at the front and then get covered in cowsh*t and goodness knows what else when sitting in.
Hate to say it omitn, but your bunch needs to invest in proper mudguards (with flaps!) ๐

All had full guards and all had flaps. We all came back looking like this. The roads were awful (properly filthy) and soaking wet. It's also just cumulative after 140 miles/8 hours riding.
Mind you, it's all good preparation for the Tour of Flanders sportive in early April... ๐

Halifax dry slope?
must be twenty years since I've been there!
Jimbo - Looks more like Weardale - proper snow skiing, not dry slope
Both wrong - Weardale didnt run last weekend. Looked a bit thin on the webcam today but snows coming so should be back. This is Yad Moss, this is Cumbria. Todays warm sector might have shaved a cm or two off the snow depth but should still be more than enough. Not the most snow in the Pennines, that honour goes to Harwood where they had to dig 6ft of snow out to get down to the tow pylon (about 6ft high) at the top of their runs.
