After weeks of rain the ground still wasn't as frozen as I'd have hoped. It did lead to plenty of comedy when the ground gave way to the occasional foot-deep pooh-slushy though.

I took some local riders round a pretty massive loop on the coast and the first valley inland. We started around 10am and finished about 6:30pm in the dark. Very enjoyable but they'd have probably preferred it if it was 10km shorter!

they are an acquired taste, i didn't pay for mine though! 8)
