SKODA BIKES!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the bike rack I'd covet.
Unless you grew up in the 80s when the Skoda/lada skip jokes abounded. They might be the best cars in the world but I couldn't bring myself to own anything with Skoda on it. I'd rather have a Trabant
Out-Treking Trek?

I'd need a bigger one 😳

Same here!
No need to lock that lot up.
My mates wife said the same about never having a Skoda.
Then they tried one, did the money sums, and bought one.
We have two, and my uncle owned one of the old pre VW versions. 😳
They had a great TdF inspired stand at Goodwood, kids riding up the ramps with people dressed in superhero suits, ringing cowbells encouraging them along. Did consider asking if I could have a go 😉
What do you call a Skoda with a sunroof?
a skip. boom boom. The old ones are the best 😆

You'd rather have a Trabant.....! More fool you.
Most 'Skoda' jokes were probably nicked from 'Trabant' jokes!
When I mentioned thinking of getting a Fabia vRS, a girl I used to work with exclaimed that she wouldn't be seen dead in a Skoda and if I offered her a lift, she would never accept if I was driving a Skoda.
A few months later she bought a Seat Ibiza FR Diesel after going in my Ibiza, which is basically a Fabia vRS with a different body on it....hmmmmm.
I don't think people believe modern Skodas are anything less than excellent.
It's the lack of kudos in people of a certain age that grates.
Like the fact that Lancia will never sell cars in this country again. Not because their current stuff is rubbish, just that their reputation.
It's the bike rack I'd covet.
My first thought was "Nice Rack" I was already sharpening the puns...
But you read down and it turns out its a Skoda kicking thread... Awwww.
Anyway:

What's the difference between a Skoda and a Jehovah's Witness?
You can shut the door on a Jehovah's Witness.
----------------------------
What do you call a Skoda driver who say's he has a speeding ticket?
A dreamer.
----------------------------
How do you make a Skoda look good?
Park it between two Ladas
----------------------------
How do you make a Skoda disappear?
Apply Rust Remover
----------------------------
What do you call a Skoda on a hill?
A miracle.
----------------------------
Why does a skoda have a heated rear window?
To keep your hands warm when you're pushing it
----------------------------
A Skoda owner goes into Halfords:
"Have you got a radio for my Skoda?"
Halfords staff member replies:
"Yes, is this one OK?"
Skoda owner says:
"Yep, seems like a fair swap to me"

And I'm spent...
Those bring back memories
she wouldn't be seen dead in a Skoda and if I offered her a lift, she would never accept if I was driving a Skoda.

Yep, can't say I blame her 😆
The Chrysler Ypsilon is a rebadged Lancia so if you don't mind having an American badge on an Italian car you can actually own a Lancia inches UK 😆
I drive a Skoda BTW.
Like the fact that Lancia will never sell cars in this country again. Not because their current stuff is rubbish, just that their reputation.
To be fair, the current range of Lancias is pretty grim.
that's kind of what I meant - they can rebadge them and sell them even if they're a bit duff. If they said Lancia on the back people would run a mile.
Skoda/VW/Seat have same issue with perceived value/coolness.

Lancia to me brings up memories of Deltas screaming round the countryside, the glamorous Stratos... the current models should carry Chrysler badges, dull dull dull.
I believe there were reports not long ago that Lancia may shortly be no more, in any territory.
Sadly for me, this.Unless you grew up in the 80s when the Skoda/lada skip jokes abounded. They might be the best cars in the world but I couldn't bring myself to own anything with Skoda on it.
How do you double the value of a Skoda?
Fill it up with petrol
Lancia still do the Delta. You see them a lot on the continent.Ugly things.
I doubt they'll be screaming around Penmachno Forest like they used to.
It's the bike rack I'd covet.
+1
Should add - happy quick Skoda owner here. But then I like the irony of the stigma. 😉
My sister was aghast when I bought it - she drives a 1 Series convertible.
I have to say that I am deeply untrendy and 'brand names' don't make me coo and wow the way that a lot of people covet them.
I find it quite a depressing state of affairs that people look to a badge that people associate themselves with and decide how 'worthy' that person is.
Clothing for example. You look at Boss/Ralph Lauren stuff and most of it is just generic clothing, with a badge on and it's probably 4 times the price if you bought it from somewhere else.
£30 for a dark blue polo shirt. Stick a logo of a bloke playing polo on it and sell it for £120!! Eek! And the people that buy this stuff really think they are getting a better product....
A mate of mine thinks the Mini Countryman is a massively cool car. I bet if it had a Hyundai badge on it he wouldn't. Look at it without the badge and it's a butt ugly lump, but put a Mini badge on it and all of a sudden it's desirable and cool......
Probably why I ride a Specialized...... 😀
To lots of people skoda still equals cheapskate loser. If you are not thicked skinned, don't buy one unless you want to spend you life defending you purchase of a perfectly average car (which is one of the reasons they do well in coustomer satisfaction surveys. That and low expectations).

Funnily enough I ended up behind one today on my way home (on the continent, natch). And yes, it was pretty ugly!
Chysler badged delta is available in yookay too. It looks horrible. 🙁
Which country specs orange spoke reflectors btw?
Jokes aside though, the brand new Skoda I borrowed from work a few weeks ago was a really nice car.
What do you call a convertible Skoda with twin exhausts?
A wheelbarrow?
I was expecting something with the word "Cotic" in it.
You have been to the festival of speed I reckon?
Skoda's are pish !
My mother in Law has a V RS and its cheap and tacky inside !
I remember all the jokes from the 80's, most of which were true.
If you have a Skoda it's mainly due to the fact that you couldn't afford a VW and then try and convince everyone who mocks it that it's as good as a seat, which are also Pish !
Then you get the old, It's made in the same factory on the same production line as VW's
NO it's not !
It comes down to choices, like the other thread moaning about £7K bikes !
Why ?
Skoda's are pish !My mother in Law has a V RS and its cheap and tacky inside !
Well, that's this discussion resolved.

The facts, combined with the logic, are irrefutable.
I had a new octavia estate as a company car. It was an ok car to sit in etc nothing fell off but god it was an uninspiring drive. I do think they are no better or worse than most other averagely priced family cars though to be honest.
