With cameras and electronics; I think stores tend to clear out older stock by October, make way for new stuff in time for Xmas. I've never noticed many mainstream bargains, outside of the mega-bargains you get in big stores (£5000 telly for £300 etc) in the January sales. Perhaps nearer Easter will see new ranges being brought out and that. Manufacturers generally want maximum profit from the Xmas period, as they know people will spend spend spend.
Scandals are dirt cheap at On One just now as long as you're not short or tall. So tempted, the new price is about what I paid for my used one (and less than what I sold it for!)
Lots of good prices on Merrells here, Goretex for much cheapness 🙂
