[#13529626]

Just messing with a route through Glen Lyon and stumbled across the wee 'Roman Bridge' on the south bank of the river, near Chesthill.

There are paths shown on Komoot and Strava but little evidence of them being having been ridden other than one comment on Komoot saying... Don't ride, hike-a-bike 😂

Has anyone here ridden or walked this section? It's not critical to the route and I won't be in a rush but not sure I want to chance it just for the sake of a wee gander at an old bridge...

Perhaps people who know the tracks are keeping it quiet, Strava private and other sites as well.

Think that they have seen what's happened on some of the Badger Divide tracks .

The bridge has a locked gate.

There's two particularly grumpy landowners on that south side of the Glen, one who a decade ago was actively seeking any walkers or riders and being rather nasty. They also actively blocked or made sure paths did not meet, so stopping it from being a useful through path.

When I was local it was that bridge to Meggernie outdoor centre that was the difficult bit.

Meggernie estates and castle also actively use LRA to keep folk off large tracts of land.

Things may have changed.

Hmm, shame, might explain why it appears to be good, waymarked trail to a point then suddenly rejoins the road 🙄
