Anyone owned the latest? How heavy are you and what forks do you use? Its gusseted and the Bikeradar review hints some riders use longer forks..

Is a 14.5stone rider 'mad' to run this with a 130travel front?

In fact, when we checked the fork lengths covered by the warranty (it's 125mm) Santa Cruz said that several of their testers and builders were riding around with a longer fork for a more stable, rock-flattening feel up front.

I don't have one but my mate does and I've ridden it a few times. 130mm is pushing his a bit, it works great with 120mm. He's 14 stone and has no worries. It does flex a bit when pushed hard though.

I have had one of the latest bikes since March 2007. I am 16 1/2 stone and 6'3". I ride a commbination of Natural and trail centres around Wales, from Betws y Coed down to Brechfa. I have used my superlight for enduro duty, from 50 - 100 km. I use a Fox F120 on the front and find the geometry spot on.

I would use a 130mm fork but find a 120mm is more than enough. If you want more travel buy a Heckler ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi,
I have a white one (best colour). I use 115mm Rockshox Reba and it's fine.
Keep an eye on swing arm bearings, they don't last long. Mine is 10 months old and I've just had to replace them. Get some good stainless bearings and get a 40.1mm center tube made to sit between bearings, you can then tighten the pivot bolt better and it reduces flex a little. Any good engineering shop will turn you a tube, 19.8mm o.d. 15.2mm bore and 40.1mm long. I have just tried to place a pic of mine but I don't know how.
Smarty.

Have you thought about trying to get hold of a 2nd hand Blur 4X?
~4" travel, will take a big fork and a hoot to ride.
