Do we agree that Friday and Monday can be either in the midweek or weekend threads? For me personally, Friday and Monday both feel like a weekend ride. Normally a sneaky, extended weekend. But still a weekend. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are definitely
midweek.
i took yesterday off and went to ride a trail centre that I haven’t ridden in ages, due to the trails being closed with trees down. My goodness it was a superb days riding:
53 out with the Ilkeston Health Ride last night, a new record turn. 18 on the Experienced route - pic of us recovering after the climb up to Swingate
My dad's up from that there London staying at my sister's in Lancashire, so I cycled over from Calderdale yesterday with a seatpack full of books for him. Enjoying the new monstercross built up round a 26" Rockhopper frame I got for £25 off here just before Covid hit.

We’re away in Wales at the moment and I took the old P7 pub bike with me to potter around on.
Had a lovely country lanes/bridleway pootle down the coast this afternoon, in the sunshine, on the flimsy pretext that I was nipping to the shop to get some eggs
I did actually remember the eggs 😃
Is this thread a bit quieter this week? Wonder whether the weather is meaning fewer people are getting out - or, if they are - not stopping to take as many photos as they've stopped being sun-drenched (@binners above excepted!)
Anyway, this is my meagre contribution.
Last night's 58km solo gravel ride. Didn't stop for photos, as too busy trying to give it some beans up a few Strava segments. Got a couple of niche, not hotly-competed KOMs (low hanging fruit, but they all count, right?), and was a tailwind and 30s away from claiming (Joey) Pidcock's Crown on an 11/12 minutes b***tard climb!
So. It was a good ride. Just, no good photos ...
I'd finished work for the week yesterday, so went for a ride today hoping to dodge the forecasted showers.
Lap round the local reservoir, tied in with some red trails at Bedgebury. Only needed my jacket on for 10 mins or so, so I'll take that as a win!
My ribs have now recovered, no twinges or aches (from that area, anyway!).
Bikes are great for mental health, I always feel mentally refreshed after a ride.
I'm in the Forest of Dean at the moment and rode the trails around Cannop today. I was last here about 20 years ago. It seems there's a lot more trails now!
Tarp up - time for food and whisky! Streams in spate, roaring with peaty runoff after heavy rain yesterday.

Very mundane compared to @montgomery ...
But, very pleasant commute, with a return to dry warm weather and sunshine!
Rifugio La Terza (2,100m) with Team Senza Rotella (Loris MTB).
Stunning mtb tour of Albenga, Finale Ligure, Nava (👌) and Molini
Ooops. Deleted.
New bike first ride setup day this morning.
Moving in the right direction to getting it to my liking.
This thing is almost as quick downhill as my Enduro bike and ****ing flies on the climbs.
25KM and 1200 Meters in 2.5 hours and I still felt pretty fresh.
Early doors off the tops for a rambler free downhill run...

Cwm Carn today.
Spot the 2 mountain bikers in this photo.
I was pleased to find lots of strawberries but I didn't eat them all.
Well, before I post today's ride in the new WRPT, I'd better do Wednesday night's ride with a couple of mates. North Leeds out across the Chevin and to Ilkley, train back ... It's a Classic!
2 x MTB commutes today, total of 38km of prime (again) dry, dusty singletrack. Was having too much fun to stop and take photos.
This is the only photo I took ...
It's been a few weeks since I had some time for a midweek ride!
Had the trails to myself today, compared to the weekend when they were heaving. Just one guy on an emtb who scared the crap out of me with his stealthyness!
Chucked some gears on my pace, for a change of err pace! Forgot I had them half the time!
Rode the coastline from Chester to Fleetwood; cheapo advance train tickets at each end, diverting inland to stay overnight at my sister's near Wigan. Very different to my usual riding but I actually really enjoyed it.

Usual weekly ride around my usual trails in Stirling last night - sometimes sh*t happens 😀
Trail I've ridden many times (Numkoch for those who know), got a bit too friendly with a couple of trees quickly followed by the ground after an OTB. Got away with a swollen finger and generally achy arms/shoulders. Didn't even realise I'd gouged my arm and shoulder until showering this morning. I don't bounce like I used to when I was younger...
I always try to remove my wedding ring before activity but can't always get it off if fingers are too warm/swollen, like last night.
Fox and cubs matching the Scandal's paintwork on this morning's pre-work ride. That's the June Everest in the bag with 12 days left to go.

Lovely evening for a ride. Dry, little wind and not too hot. The Howgills were looking as wonderful as ever in the distance
It is hard to see but there is a huge dip in the middle of this landscape, hard to capture on a phone.
No midweek riding for this week.
Four hour drive to the Tunnel and then 10 hour drive through the night to Aletsch Arena to start our next trip
First ride for me in seven days due to cat aids/ manflu.
Only half a ride at 16KM/ 500 Meters but still good to be rolling despite the killer headache.
Last day of riding in Aletsch Arena, moving on tomorrow to Val Di Sole for a few days
Day set of well with sun and dry trails before the storm came in. Last run down from the very top to the bottom was in heavy rain with the lower trails a bit sketchy
