I was looking through the pics of this years Iditarod and there's Shaggy off again.

Not any more ๐ฅ
That must be so disappointing. ๐ Respect for attempting such a huge challenge, has Shaggy done this race before?
How's Aidan going?
Aidans still going, towards the rear, but still going.
Shaggy has done the race before - he has also won the 'Puffer solo on a singlespeed (as training!), so he's no stranger to suffering ๐
Good to see he had the sense to pull out. It will be a bitter disappointment.
I finished 14th in McGrath which is a long way from the rear. And I'm going to Nome which is 3 times as far as the 350 race that Shaggy was doing. It will take over 20 days and that's why I was sleeping properly every day and not even trying to run with the top racers in the 350.
I've had 24 hours of rest here in McGrath and I'll be back onto the trail today.
Get a bloody wriggle on then. ๐
Well said Aidan, dig in chap.
Aidan's blog is here:

Sounds like he's on top of things.
Keep it going Aidan!
If i'm correct Aidan is now 1st, nearly 4 hours ahead of JayP.
Maybe he did get a wriggle on!
Perhaps my motivational speech worked. ๐
good luck to you (big respect ๐
The first time riding one of those daft fat bike things seems to make sense.
Yes, Aidan is flying, distanced JayP on the last 'stage', covering 100 miles on snow in around 12 hours. 'Only' about 140 miles to go.
Aidan's setup is pretty cool. He should be able to move way quicker than Jay over soft snow. Go Aidan!
Thanks for the support. Much appreciated. Btw I wasn't going that quick- the splits at Yentna are way out- Aidan got in before me, but I left before him. I'd already hurt myself by then and was moving pretty slowly. Annoyed about dropping out but seeing as I'm still hurting I'm glad I didn't try to lug my bike over Rainy Pass with one arm.
Tough guy of the event is Lance Andre who rode the last 80 or so miles with a broken arm and leg...
Yowsers!
All the Idita competitors are winners in my eyes.
Except you, Shaggy, you're a loser ๐
Thanks Clubber. Watch out for wet shoes, or a damp patch near your letterbox. ๐
Damn! JayP won but Aidan is on for an excellent 2nd place. Well done fella.
Superhuman!
Fantastic result, well done and well done to everyone who set out regardless of whether they crossed the line or not.
I take it the front tyre direction makes no difference whatsoever in those conditions? I noticed yours/epicyclos fitted different.
I'm in awe of all the Idita competitors.
