Its all bikes.
Its all good.
Just not my thang.
I absolutely LOVE riding on pavements. that is all.
Yes, but Nutt; that's because you're too frightened to go round the Magic Roundabout without your stabilisers on...
It's not the vehicle it's the Driver/rider
maybe it's just marketing to provoke opinion and cause controversy
after all, all publicity is good publicity ๐ก
[unless it involves chimpanzees in frocks and flatcaps]
"endear cyclists to other people"
Why?
Who cares..
Just ride your bike and stop moaning
maybe it's just marketing to provoke opinion and cause controversy
So, Rudefred has inadvertently let himself become a small cog in that huge corporate machine that is Charge.
Now that is funkin funny! ๐
the magic roundabout holds no fear for me!! I love the thing!!
this maybe off topic but I was sat outside a urban-gastro-fusion London pub/bar/lounge the other week and some scrote on a red rock lobster (city butch edition) rode towards me, along the pavement the wrong way up a one way street whilst smoking, when some of his cigarette ash landed in my veal & fois gras pie, was it rong of me to continue eating? or should I have taken it back to the bar and asked for a new one?
How do you know I'm not sponsored by them, AdamG? ๐
FWIW, the other Fixied vids seemed ok. Just bods out enjoying riding their bikes.
or should I have taken it back to the bar and asked for a new one?
Shooduv considered yerself lucky you din't get a slap, for being a PONCE!
How do you know I'm not sponsored by them
Because I've seen pics of you. Hardly the sort of thing a marketing department would look for in a team rider.
Why, Adam; I'm flattered you pay so much attention to me! ๐ณ
Fred - the point I made way up there somewhere was that while your riding was totally reasonable to you, others might disagree (though personally I don't see anything wrong with it). So to criticise the video for doing what is the same thing just maybe of a different magnitude (yes, they do seem to get fairly close to people) is just an argument about opinion of magnitude. As I said above, I'll bet that at least one person you encountered on your ride came away with a negative attitude of cyclists based on your behaviour ('tis ever so...) that is no different to some of the pedestrians in the video. So, my question was, on that basis, are those people(persons) justified in holding that opinion of you? If not, why not - other than you saying that you're right and they're rong...
FWIW; the First STW London Pootle rode in similar places, yet we all acted with consideration for others. Slowed down/walked where necessary, din't tear about like nutters, or endanger anyone else. And we still had loads of fun. Needs to b a bit more of a sense of responsibility, in some people.
quite clearly rudeboy thinks his poo smells less than everyone else.
riding like a c0ck and riding a bit like a c0ck (but apparently with responsibility). Where's the distinction? You're still riding like a c0ck.
Did anyone else think it was a bit homo-erotic?
Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, I just kept expecting them to kiss each other.
That was just their beards velcro-ing together.
i blame myself, rudeboy, for dragging you into my pit of cocklike behaviour.
an argument about opinion of magnitude
That's fair enough.
I'm amused by some people seeing it as a very right/rong black and white issue, mind. And some seem very keen on proving me rong, rather than my argument. A bit resentful, praps? Maybe they should pay less attention to what I say; I am, after all, an idiot.
HTTP404: ERROR.
RudeBoy - MemberI am, after all, an idiot.
The boy's learning.
Pity you're not.
So what does everyone think of this brakeless BMX thing then?
It roolz ๐
I have a heart condition. If you hit me, it's murder.
I'm amused by some people seeing it as a very right/rong black and white issue
Isn't that exactly what you did in your original post?
Brakeless BMX has been going for ages, and is clearly quite popular (look at this thread - 88 pages of the buggers!) but there hasn't been a rash of deaths and injuries, and a public outcry. Might it be, perhaps, that as with the fixie twunts, the riders who choose to adopt such an impractical bike set up are actually experienced enough to know what they're getting into, and skilled and careful enough to avoid mowing people down at random? Just a thought.
No, clubber. All I did, was criticise selfish and potentially dangerous behaviour.
I din't expect the Spanish Inquisition....
people in glass houses... ๐
Like I said, other people would have considered your behaviour to be selfish and potentially dangerous...
" I'm amused by some people seeing it as a very right/rong black and white issueIsn't that exactly what you did in your original post? "
like making fixies history? banning fixie scum who give cyclists a bad name?
evidently being a cock is o.k. if you ride a MTB on the pavement but everyone who rides a fixed wheel bike is vacuous self obsessed hipster who should be struck down for the shocking crimes they commit.
No, clubber. All I did, was criticise selfish and potentially dangerous behaviour.
but not your own. you can't have it both ways.
Like I said, other people would have considered your behaviour to be selfish and potentially dangerous...
how many times - rudeboy is innocent. INNOCENT!
Sod this for a laugh. I'm going to go and get me hair cut.
Feel free to argue amongst yerselves....
I get the impression Rudepaddedbrain has rather painted himself into a bit of a corner. I think he should do the decent thing and lock himself in a sparsely furnished room with a revolver and a bottle of whisky...
Ha "rudeboy is innocent" as innocent as Tony Blair, though will admit that rudeboy is a proper socialist, do as I say not as I do. Bet he suspects the charge riders invaided Gaza.
I hope that's sarcasm
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!
