Has anyone ridden this event before? I have just signed up for the 2020 event as really fancy a few of these types of event this year.
Never done bikepacking before but looking forward to getting a few training rides under my belt and giving it a whirl.

I was quite intrigued when I first saw this event, but I'm on holiday, so canny do it!
The missus did it 2 years ago and I played sweeper on it. Great concept, well executed - helped by a beautiful day on our local trails in ‘18.
It was what triggered an interest in “gravel riding” for me. It was more like “just riding your mountain bike” from 25 years ago, when I first started than the “slightly grubby roadie” ethos of stuff like the Reiver. Ended up riding loads of trails that I hadn’t done in years because they’re too tame on a modern Mtb.
…oh, and Focal generally have their poo very neatly stacked in event organization terms, so it’s just a case of turning up and riding with minimal stress.
