The rear door on my old Mondeo hatchback was so massive it was actually easier to load up than the estate version.

Amateurs. My Original CRV would take two bikes upright without removing the wheels. The replacement takes the recumbent trike, and will take the upright TT trike with just a front wheel removal. Height is everything. Of course it also sports a roof rack for 4 bikes as well, but the trike needs a lot of space.
The latest CRV is too low, I'm not taking the saddle out, nor am I removing all three wheels.
