Which is the most fun way to ride off the summit of Helvellyn as there is many ways?
Lower Man - White Side - Raise - Sticks Pass down to Glenridding gets my vote. Nethermost Pike - Birk Side - and Comb Crags down to Wythburn is an interesting alternative if you don't mind ending up Thirlmere side.
I want to end up thirlmere side ideally as thats where i will be staying so the second one sounds interesting!
Looking at a map they both end up on te ethirlmere road so both possible ๐
Dollywagon down to Grisedale down to Glenridding.
If you must end up on Thirlmere, ride the techfest that is Dollywagon then down Fairfield which is a fast blast. It's the most descent you'll get on that side.
Bear in mind that all the descents on the Thirlmere side are steep.
The one to Wythburn is *properly* steep with some long sections of stone pitching - might depend on your definition of "fun".
The descent down to the red tarn (?) is ace:

Lots of techy rock tastic riding.
I plan on pushing my downhill bike up so the most knarly way down sounds like the best to me!
