Just been for a local ride, only 1.5 hours, but boy was it hard work - thought the walked on snow would be fine, but no.
Its strange isn't it, I was out doing sections of trails that normally take 30 mins, taking three times that, The trodden, frozen snow is like riding Pais- Roubaix pave, and the deep drifts at each side keep catching your wheel, resulting in comedy crashes.( no one watching though, so OK!)
Wont be too sorry to see the thaw.
Just got back from a ride. Yep hard work, but great fun!! 😆
We made the ride shorter than normal and it still took 1.5hrs.
Everyone came off once - the virgin snow is grippy but where it has been compressed it was solid ice.
Still as above - great fun
Sorry, I lost one of todays quota of 'R's in a crash today
Should have been Paris- Roubaix.
