That's fantastic! My girl was very afraid of cycling, she got it in her own time too and now she pedals away like a manic little thing. The missus has been hoovering, guess the filter isn't working as it should as it does seem to be a tad dusty in here..

Great stuff! I love that first photo. He'll have the same expression when he beats you down the hill in a few years time.

You've obviously never ridden with him. I'd give it a couple of months.. 😛

Cheers all!

Tonight we've had a little try of his older sisters bike with 20" wheels.

Bit wobbly

Russ, is he pedalling it?

From nothing to balance to pedalling in a week! Wow!

He is pedalling. He needs me to hold him while he pushes down on the first stroke but then he's away - until he forgets to keep pedalling again!

Russ, my little lad who is now 7 has a genetic condition that made him grow waaaaay too fast. Consequently, he missed the trike, pedal car etc. stage & never learnt to pedal; he always looked like a Great Dane shagging a football..! Imagine a 10 year old sized toddler..!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, balance bikes were all too small so we bought him a 'normal' kids bike but removed the pedals; a few months ago, and as a result of building confidence & balance on this, he came 3rd in his very first BMX race. Being a Dad is ace....!!!!!

Fantastic Mark!

I've spent the evening browsing kids Bikes. It's so exciting!
