All I can say is - 'WOW'
I must have said that at least a dozen times yesterday.
After struggling to fit them tubeless with non-ust hi rollers and a track pump, I went to buy some CO2 canisters and wholeheartedly recommend this method for fitting tubeless tyres to anybody that hasn't done it before.
On the trail I simply cannot believe the difference. Riding uphill (Ellsworth moment, Fox 36/rp23) is like I've taken 10lb off the weight of the bike, sections I was previously having to use the granny ring I'm now staying in the middle ring.
However the single biggest advantage that I can see is just an unbelievable difference in rolling resistance. I was just losing so much momentum all the time, making anything less than a decent downhill a lot less fun and a lot more hard work than it should be. Now, it's just amazing, I'm able to hack through flat sections at previously unheard of pace. A good example is the telegraph run in Dorking, and also T2.
I also gave them a good clattering on some of the steeper / rocky descents / step-downs etc. and they seem more than tough enough.
Also coming from Hope, the rear freehub is almost silent, which gives an eerie feeling to fast flowing freewheeling which I liked.
I did have one incidence of burping on the rear tyre, but otherwise it was faultless and I don't think I put enough stans in the rear tyre so that may well have been user error.
All in all, apart from the first time I fit fox 36 vans, I have to rate these as the single best / most worthwhile upgrade I've ever made.
If you are considering going this route but (like me a month ago) can't find any decisive input either way, my honest recommendation to you is do not hesitate.
Thanks again for all the advice I got on here previously, it was very helpful and I hope this in turn is helpful to other readers.
