[#6812212]

So I'm swapping the alfine 8 from sliding dropouts, onto fixed vertical dropouts (on a cargo bike, doncha know..)

What tensioner should I spec?
Does it need to be an alfine one (the one that fixes to the axle) or will a simple sprung singulator thing suffice?

Never had a problem with normal single spring or posh double spring tensioners on my alfine.

Whilst we are on the subject...

Any recommendations for a sprung tensioner that has enough capacity maintain chain tension on a full sus? (other than the ratty old mech Im currently using)

Spooky - one of these

Other versions are available if you're not a superstar fan.

Yess also do various types, but they're expensive.
