[Closed] Tell me why I shouldn’t...
... buy an Orange P7 frame?
Want to build up a new bike, and local Orange dealer has one hanging on the wall.
Why I want it:
1 - Right size and geometry, for me and the kind of riding I do.
2 - Steel, always liked the the way steel rides.
3 - 148 boost rear end, therefore, lots of wheel options.
4 - it’s in a very nice colour ☺️
Dealer also tempted me with rolling chassis options, as I can cannibalise current bike for most of the remainder.
So, why should I say no? And if so, what else to consider?
Realistically, I could probably find a complete bike 2nd hand for the money of the rolling chassis, but I like the idea of new for the frame/forks/wheels.
Always fancied one of those - sorry I think you should 😂
Been eyeing one of them up along with the Clockwork 137s and the Crush. I fear it may be too much bike for what I need though and they look fairly slack.
But if the price is right then go for it. I like steel bikes aswell.
You want someone to play devil's advocate, yeah?
It's not the poshest steel, but it's priced as f it is. I went for something with an 853 main triangle myself.
