Mrs Q wants a bike again, I don't mind getting her one, it will get light use, but its a good excuse for me to buy a tag a long for our daughter and do some family riding locally ( or just getting pissed off she is so slow)

Mrs Q is pretty small, 5' on a good day.

Local shop is getting some XS mountain bikes in, but the owner did suggest something with road wheels if we can to make sure she at least has a chance of keeping up with us.

Plus any spares I need to carry are only for one wheel size

They have a couple of 650B road bikes in there, that would fit her, and they are priced fairly well.

Are 650B tires readily available or should I figure out how to fit the midget on a 700c flat bar somehow.

Much smaller range of tyres available but if it's only light use, how often will you need to replace them?

You can also get some really small 700C bikes though.

what he ^ said, my 5' wife has 2 great 700c bikes.

her 'Whyte Victoria' is particularly awesome, The Small seems to fit her well, and there's even an Extra Small.

She used to have a Trek Sky SL a few years ago just had a look at their website and they put 750B wheels on their smaller bikes
