Looking at a set of RS Revelations RL 2012 Dual air. They come with 130mm travel and it says they are internally adjustable. What I would like to know is, does adjusting the travel internally lower the ride height? My Clockwork 29er is made for 120mm travel max.
Any help would be appreciated
Yes, by adding the spacers, you reduce the stanchion length and the axle to crown length.
on a rs for usually yes. its usually a small spacer inside the spring side of the fork which effectively prevents the fork extending fully. remove it and the for should extend by the amount of spacer you removed. stick a 10mm spacer in there and they will be 10mm shorter and you will have 120mm travel.
Thanking you! Look like I'll be ordering some forks 😀
Worth spending the extra £40 and getting the RCT3 version? Used to riding Fox
Dual Air normally suck down around 5-10mm, I wouldn't worry about using the spacer
I have the Revelation RCT3 forks that are on offer at CRC at the moment, reduced down from 140 to 130 but sit at around 125mm
