Waving a smoke bomb in a riders face is a pretty stupid thing to do

Hope Froome can hold that pace!! Thought for a second he might have overdone it but he seems to be able to change his tempo incredibly well.

Tomorrow isn't it?
I'm praying that Froome can hold this pace and that he doesn't get taken out by some moron of a spectator waving a flare or standing in the road trying to get a photo...

Whe do we reckon for the stage win?
Remember when Armstrong gifted the win to Pantani up here and then regretted it saying that you should never give away a win on Ventoux? Froome doesn't need to win this but will he go for it anyway?

Is Froome cooked? Quintana doesn't look like he's broken into a sweat ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Realised I've literally been sat on the edge of my seat for the last ten minutes.

I'm on the rivet in sofa terms!

Great stuff innit?

In GC Froome has over 5mins on Quintana so he doesn't really need to race him as such. He needs to concentrate on getting time over Contador.

I thought he objected as he knew Pantani was not the strongest rider that day

Did he not do it to annoy him calling him elaphantine as well in the press conference?

**** me he can ride uphill he is ripping them all a new set of legs they must know they cannot hurt him now

LOL at Lance Armstrong's tweet from a few moments ago:
"Hey @chrisfroome - no gifts on the Ventoux."

That prompted a few replies... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Shame the rest of the field is too crap to contest

No, I reckon the fight for 2nd - 5th will be pretty good to watch. ๐Ÿ™‚

mogrim, sadly that's the case it seems. But maybe, just maybe that might open the door to some craziness on the mountains yet to come?

I've not a Froome fan, but I must admit that was actually impressive.

Great to see the yellow jersey attack with style again (even if the style is Paula Radcliffe on a bike).
Too many years of what seems like watching riders calculating the minimum effort required to defend it.

Yeah, not saying it wasn't impressive - but I'd rather have been impressed by one of the other guys, Mollema or Contador. 4 minutes looks pretty much unbeatable.
