Just how good are these? All the reviews are really good but how are they really? Anyone running a angle set or offset bushes?

Can you give one a hammering? Bike Park, downhill courses, alps Etc.

Are they stiff? Can you get it lined up and trust it's going to head where you steer?

Also, anyone 5'8 running a Medium with a reverb? I can't find a complete medium to sit on but measurements seem spot on.

Feel free to tease me with some pics!

Cheers!

TB LTc here with Works angleset, shock bushes and 150 Pike. Soon to be 160 Pike when the 160 airsprings land.

Taken it to Verbier, Luchon, Festiniog and many other places.

It is the awsumz.
As capable on descents as my Nomad, more so on some stuff and climbs so much better.
I'm 6' with 32" inside leg on a large.

I've got one. It's as it was when bought so no angleset or offset bearings. The only change I've made is a shorter stem.

It takes abuse with ease. I am not the most hardcore of riders but I don't mind drops, jumps, rocks etc. Its been to the Alps a couple of times, the lakes and peaks and Surrey a lot. It did me proud in the tweedlove enduro last year.

Since having I have definitely become faster. Especially on the downs. It just handles stuff with ease yet is still playful. And climbing...yeah, it can climb.

As it is my first fs bike I can't say if the back end is stiff however I have no complaints. The carbon one is meant to be stiffer though.

I rode my old small wheeled hardtail today. That was odd ๐Ÿ™‚

Lovely cheers gents, few mates with Nomads so good to hear it's as capable.

Alu with the angleset is my plan, don't think I can go to carbon. My Evil offers awesome grip but I love the bigger wheels

Good all rounder. A couple mates have them but all now wished they had got Stumpy Evo C 29" instead.

I rode one a while ago, and felt distinctly meh about it, but it was an alloy one with a 140 fox 32 on it. Just felt like an. XC bike to me.

But then one of my riding buddies has built up an LTC, with a 160mm Pike, and a -2 headset on it. It's a totally different bike. One I'd seriously consider if I didn't have the Enduro.

Yeah the Stumpy Evo is THE bike to have according to some!

Rode the standard Stumpy 29 last year and wasn't impressed but the Evo is meant to be a different league!

Not heard heavy mentioned before, maybe a cheaper spec one?

Think the angle set and bigger fork is the way forward.

Mine is about 31lb I think, it is an xl. Not the lightest but it certainly doesn't feel heavy when riding.
