i have been thinking about saving up for a road bike for along time.this would be my first proper road bike (i did have a raleigh elan, way back in the early 90's).i must admit to being quite taken with the new honky tonk http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=52951&categoryID=39 [img]
[/img] it looks exactly what i am after for £850.00.would this be worth going for.i plan on using it for distance (when fitness will allow) and also all year round general riding (may even venture on a few bridleways e.t.c 😉 thanks :-)p.s i really love steel 😉
My mate replaced his Kaffanback with one and thinks it's great, he took it on a week's touring we did. Not sure I'd want to be using one for club runs though.
at first glance seems quite poor value specced against a ribble or even a boardman
GO have a look at cycling plus mag, they had a steel is real review I think it was them but it was a roadie mag and this month.
I'll have a look later this evening an post on here the link, (if i can find it again)
