Had a look at Pennine-Cycleway, but wondered how much follows the traditional bobble hatters route? Any experiences, good or bad?

Do you really mean the [url= http://www.pennine-cycleway.co.uk/about_pcw.htm ]Pennine Cycleway[/url] ? That's for roadies (quiet lanes, canal towpaths, etc)
The [url= http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/PennineBridleway/ ]Pennine Bridleway[/url] is much more interesting (in places), although it's not yet finished in the northern reaches
