nice to see my good buddy getting love on here. He's the great grandad of uk rap and paved the way for scores of rappers.
Surprised theres been no mention (sorry if some HAS mentioned) of phi life cypher.

Gunshot, hardnoise and hijack were great (i once turned hardnoise away from there own gig........ Oops). Ruthless rap assassins, demon boys and mc buzz b are well worth checking out.
Headcase lads are awesome. As is/was mc pitman.
Stig and respek ba rock the freestyle world.
I've never been into grime, but, the uk carved itself a great little scene!

Speaking of (really) old school, I still love the intro to Derek B's Bullet From A Gun, and making a Phil Collins beat sound good....
I remember seeing Mark B and Blade in Sheffield years ago, and was surprised when one of them came over to me after the gig to give me props for smiling, when everyone else was trying to look gangsta ha ha.
All the Jehst albums should defo be listened to. The first Klashnekoff album too.
