So I've entered the gravity enduro race at hamsterly on 26th May. It's my first race and I haven't a scooby what to expect.

Anyone else doing it? What can I expect?

Expect a love/hate relationship if you analyse the results too much. You'll rue that stall against a tree that cost 5 seconds and a place in the results, or that little off that cost 30 seconds as you scramble back up the hill to retrieve your bike that costs you 5 or 6 places.

Next time you won't fall off and you'll ride better and you'll want to get up the results list. It's now sucked you in and you love it, but hate it at the same time.

Or, you don't care about the results and just enjoy a great day out.

Lots of downhillers complaining it's too flat and easy and that there's not enough transition time....and......lots of xc'ers complaining it's too steep and hard and that there's too much transition time.
And a few people having a good time.

Thats what I got at the Kona Mashup anyways...
The above is true, it wasn't downhilly enough for my liking....

I wouldn't mind having a go at something like this. Does anyone have any other details? I've had a look on the web but can't seem to find anything that actually describes the event......

I'm guessing it's ride down something in a timed manner and then have a set amount of time to transition either back up the hill or off to another downwards section? Is it just a one day race?

The 'Gravity Enduro' series are two day events, the 'Enduro 1' series are one day events. Am doing my first tomorrow!
