[Closed] Talk to me about cheap carbon road wheels

In a typical man maths way, what started out as a need for a turbo trainer rear tyre, has now, through various self delusional justifications, become a "need" for a new set of wheels.

Originally I was going to get another set of the Fulcrum wheels currently on the bike, but for the same sort of money (400-500 quid) I keep getting drawn to the chinese carbon wheelsets(wheelsfar etc).

I have had a look at some of the other similar threads but was generally wondering what peoples thoughts where, are cheap carbon rims worth it at this cost point? Or should I forgo the bling and just get alloy?
