So got a bit of a deal on a santa cruz 5010 frame where the only 'new' stuff I need is some forks as everything else is being moved over from another bike, but I'm struggling to really see anything decent on the market. At the moment I can see:
Rockshox sektors
- Cheap, reliable, but not as plush as my 150mm pikes
X-Fusion Velvet
- Look ok, but the 26/650b compatibility on the same forks worries me
Rockshox pike RC
- Only available 130mm as OEM, not aftermarket and the rct3's won't stop down to 130 from what I've read.
Fox 32's
- Not been massively impressed with recent foxes, and the 32's are a bit floppy for a fat bugger like me.
So, what am I missing? what'd you go for ?
X fusion Sweep can be added to that list
Are they any good? How much effort really is that internal travel adjust as it looked a bit full-on to me
Rock Shox Revelation, Manitou Mattoc (think it goes down to 130 in 27.5" mode)?
If you get the Sweeps from J Tech they will reduce to 130mm and tune them for you. There are positive reviews on them.
