My kona has a set of Talas 2004/ or 2005 forks on(i dunno which!) and it looks like the seals have never been changed and so i would like to do this and give it some oil in there, even though the fork seems to work fine, now i have no idea if they are 32 or 36? what does this refer to? looking a the stanchon it measures 30mm diameter on the upper? i measured a few times, where should i be measuring? or am i numpty?

32 or 36 refers to the diameter of the stantion.. assuming you're eyeballing the measurement with a ruler, they're probably 32's.
36 look bigger than normal.. 32s more like regular forks.
