I'm in the Vets National road race Championships.
Fairly short route for a Nats, 60 miles.
In the 50-55 age group.
Lasting one lap with the group is the aim.
I'm S***ing bricks.
I'll have five open road races, nine crits and two XC's under my belt this year before I line up.

Had a long chat with some LVRC bods today, and as a result I'm off to Belgium on the 4th of August to race in the ICF world road race championships.
Strange how it affected my training today.

Tell you what after agreeing to this, I found I had a higher HR max than I ever thought.
