Surprised this hasn't had more coverage, in mainstream media or cycling specific forums:

First rumours of something bad happening in Tajikistan started a week ago, this has firmed up now. More speculative/sensationalist reporting (with awful comments) available in the usual places.

My heart goes out to all affected by this...

I'm heading for Dushanbe tomorrow and then the Pamirsย <span style="font-size: 0.8rem;">so following this closely.ย </span>

This post on caravanistan gives some possible reason for terrorism in Tajikistan. Cyclists are such an easy target.
