hi.im looking for a tailgate mounted bike rack to fit my skoda yeti.its only for one bike and im only carrying it very local.five miles or less.
has anyone got any suggestions? thanks.
Can the bike not go inside? A tarp down to catch any dirt/moisture and should be OK...would be cheaper and probably safer than carrying it outside the vehicle.
Only suggesting inside as a single bike in a bike car should be manageable (I mean in terms of space, not taking into account personal or partner's opinion on inside the car!).
Personally for 5 miles or less I'd ride.
Pendle's strap on rack served me well.
I use the following for on a Partner Tepee

Until I got the Thule Roof system I brought a Saris Bones 3 although I never managed to fit more than 2 FS bikes to it. However I'm lead to believe it's the best tailgate carrier without the requirement on a towball.
They do the Solo which I imagine would be perfect, pretty versatile will fit almost any car...
thanks for the replies.ive had the bike in the back many times and cycled up there many times but want to keep the mess out of the car.the saris solo looks
good.will check them out ta
I've got a saris bones 3 in the loft I need to sell..
Check out Hollywood racks, simple but strong and secure.
