Pretty much what the above says. So hacked off with multiple bb standards and wearing bearings so looking for an adapter to be able to fit a decent square taper crank axle.
But cannot find one to fit into a T47 bb. Anyone help?
Which external BBs have you tried? You should find that a decent quality unit is durable/serviceable/long lasting.
Currently have a praxis in there. Lasted 1000 miles before tick tick from nds bearing. Easy enough to fit replacement mr2437 bearings but I’d rather not be binning bearings 5 times a year.
Cranks all fitted correctly; torque values etc.
I actually had a Praxis BB (a BB30 conversion BB) on my CX bike, when I removed it, I was surprised to find the bearings were perfectly smooth.
You could try replacing the bearing with something from a quality manufacturer like SKS?
Still, only 1000 miles suggests something else is amiss.
You could try getting the BB alignment checked and adjusted. If the two sides do not match it will cause premature wear if bearings.
Frame dropped into lbs for Chase and face of the bb, NTN 6805 bearings and top hats in post. Fingers crossed.
