So what is the chance of having races at swinley now all the changes have been done?
There is (bad) racing every day. Full team kit, £6k bikes, fire road drafting etc etc
Give how busy they seem to be keeping the air ambulance, unlikely I reckon.
Little or no chance I guess. Although you can always Strava!!
IIRC there was a bit of a falling out over the new trail development between Crown Estate and Swinley Action Group. Gorrick only have Crowthorne woods for the Autumn XC and the G100 had to be resited to Porridgepot so unless its just them that CE don't get on with I can't see anyone else being allowed to organize races.
Maybe ask CE what the situation is, are you thinking of organizing something there under the QECPC banner ?
No it was more of a general question. We have enough to do with the NEW QECP blue trail (When we get started, in September). Also will have at lest 3 races next year at QECP, XC, DH and maybe a couple of Gravity enduros. Too much to do 😯Maybe ask CE what the situation is, are you thinking of organising something there under the QECP banner ?
Back to Swinley:
On the enduro1 website it still says Swinley for round 4. I might pop Carlos a email.

I must be going at the wrong times, for all the mentions on here and the Facebook page about lycra-clad wannabe racers tearing round Swinley at break neck speeds, I've still never seen anyone even remotely similar to that description 🙂
If Gorrick can't get a race there for the foreseeable future (they can't) then Enduro1 have no hope whatsoever.
CE were pissed off enough about the last one they did.
