Has anybody been at Swinley forest over the last week. How are trail conditions?

Cheers
Tom

I haven't, but am willing to venture a guess that it is mainly underwater.

Was there Monday and Wednesday.
It's fair to say that it resembles Atlantis in some areas!

It normally holds up well but when I went there in the proper wet (post snow in fact) the surface had just dissolved and it was not very rideable.

It's a complete swamp. The ginger surfaced trails are riding well but the rest is a mess.

I live just up the road from Swinley.

I have a singlespeed for winter duties and when the mud is bad enough to eat drivetrains.

I've just invested in a turbo trainer to keep riding this summer.

Read from that what you will.

I'd expect they're getting a lot better. Apart from a tiny shower yesterday we've not had rain for 3 days now. The local trails are dry, which usually means Swinley will be 90% dry.

I'm off there on Sunday as i've not ridden anything fun since getting back from the Alps.

Went round today, apart from by the lake and the usual 'wet' areas, it was superbly dry. Had an absolute blast there.
