[Closed] Swinley Forest - anyone got a map or directions for the best bits..

Unfortunately it is one of those places where you need some local knowledge. Your best bet is to head over to the reservoir and 'expert mountain biking area' marked on the map (download from internet with a bit of googling). A word of warning though - the trails are in a right state at the moment and a lot of them have standing water. Plus you've got to contend with the film crews who are camped out there filming at the moment.

I agree with auric, the trails are trashed at present.

Send me an email to paul.r.davisAThotmail.co.uk and I will reply with a few .pdf files showing where we ride when it is better under tyre.

I do not have any gps files that I can send.

someone posted a brilliant detailed map of all the trails on swinley a while back

but yeah i suspect it will be a quagmire for the next few weeks at least
