Has any one swapped from a Garmin to a Bolt, thinking of swapping Mr diz's Garmin 500 to a Bolt?
Any experiences or advice?
I went from a Garmin 810 to an element bolt a couple of months ago and am very happy with the decision.
Positives:
- setup and screen management so much easier than garmin
- zooming in and out of the data on the screen is better than changing pages
- clearer screen than the edge 810 and the edge 500
- auto upload works well
- Looks cool
- superb battery life
Less good:
- not compatible with garmin mounts - annoying if you have a few bikes
- maps/navigation not as good as a garmin

It takes literally 30 seconds to modify a (plastic) Garmin mount so that it works with both the Wahoo and the Garmin. There's a video, I'll see if I can find it…

I used a Stanley knife, one small cut on each tab and it was done.
