[#1614300]

Hello, I am thinking of doing this loop, on the 29th of May if any locals are interested, just wondering if this is all good, I have ridden most of it, but the bits linking over to gunnerside are new to me.

Any help would be very handy, ta!

I would be riding it anti-clockwise and I have all day.

Ps, does anyone ride along the top of Fremmington rather than following the boring track to the farm and then back up to the good descent bit?

What, on the footpath you mean? Nah, wouldn't dare.

Aye, I know it's a footpath right on the top, but there is a path on the ground which is just short of the actual footpath, looked well ridden to me!

Anyway, good to know that it is all good. I reckon this will be the ride of the year for me, I have done lots of different bits, but all together will be ace!

Ooh, the famous simon"controvesy"barnes is on my post, sir I feel honoured!

Sorry, that sounded condescending, thanks, I was sure someone had done it. I will be doing it on a Saturday though.

I prefer to think of myself as "gobshite" but the effect is similar :o)

If you carry straight on when you get to melbecks moor (the end of the lunar landscape) instead of bearing right to go to gunnerside moor there's a cracking descent which will bring you out onto the same bridleway. 🙂
