Ok the parking is sorted - Stuart at Dales Mountain Bike Centre has organised a field HERE. £1 per person and it is within easy reach of the centre to make use of the cafe. For those of you needing a post code DL11 6AW should get you there.

I have come back from tonights ride with a light layer of dust on my bike - lets hope the weather holds 8)

So guys and hopefully dolls - who's in who's out??

also plenty of space for a couple or 3 more from Keighley/skipton area.

is that £per car or person not that it matters really

Yeah, I'm still up for this. Can't really offer any lift, only got a tiny car 🙁

Fingers crossed for more sunshine.

Yep me +1 (maybe - his shock is being repaired)

About the route, is it rocky techy stuff like the lakes route or more swoopy fast stuff like rivi?

Oh and directions, from the M6 am I better of taking the direct A684/B6270 or the longer maybe quicker A684/a6108? Route maps say the former but they have been known to send you down stupid slow singletrack roads.

Sorry, but I'm not going to be going on Sunday, after all. I've felt really rough since Tuesday night and haven't eaten anything, plus I think I'm going to have a bunch of marking to get through this weekend.

Maybe next time?

Donk, Take the M6 to jnct 37, then follow A684 though Sedbergh and Garsdale. Just before Hawes, go over Butter Tubs to Thwaite and then follow the B6270 down the valley.

See you all about 9.30..... looking forward to making a puffing, sweating, swearing eejit of meeself...... oh, and looking forward to putting a few faces to names 🙂

And finally - BBC weather says Sunny spells, no rain. I'll take that........ 🙂
Cheers & thanks for organising!

Donk
I would put the riding somewhere between the Lakes and Rivi.
Mainly fast and swoopy but with rocks thrown in in parts.
The ups are bigger than Rivi but not as big as the Lakes-generally speaking
Me and Deejay will be on FS bikes but a hardtail would also work well if you fancied it.
Cheers
Steve

It's all fine on a rigid bike too, if you're used to it and don't mind going a bit slower. With a choice of bike, I'd say a FS that climbs well would be ideal, otherwise go for the hardtail.

IF it anything like Rivi Dave, there will be 6 people on the roll call saying yes and then an avalanche of people turn up on the day!

See you Sunday.

Borrowing one off Ton might bring a different set of complications.
