So i now hav abike with not only a rear shock to play with (fox ctd) but also a fork that has stuff you can adjust on too.

Is there an easy way to approach setting up the suspension?

I've set my sag at around 25% both ends and have the rebound and compression knobs roughly in the middle, Is it just a case of riding it and seeing?

I guess what i want to know is what i should be looking/ feeling for and what i should be adjusting as a result? I know theres a bit of what, how and where you ride in all this!

I tend to set rebound by riding off a decent sized kerb, seated and watching the suspension move. Start with it quite quick and slow the rebound down one click at a time until it just compresses then rebounds, without an over-shoot and dropping back. Usually the right setting is one click faster than that. It's certainly a good starting point. I set the forks to be a fraction quicker by bouncing hard onto the pedals and seeing whether the bike rebounds front first or rear first or nice and flat.
