Hello all,

The time has come for the girlfriend to be upgraded from her current bike.

Toying with the idea of a second hand FS frame that can be built up with bits and pieces from the bike collection.

The catch? She is 5 foot tall. So, any suggestions for a 2nd hand frames that will fit a small person, 120mm-ish travel, and not blow the bank into tiny little bits (i.e. no Titus, Santa Cruz Juliana or Orange 5 Diva suggestions please).

The one that springs to mind is a Trance - seem to come up quite regularly on ebay for £250 or so depending on condition.

We've got a 15" Cube AMS WLS Comp, with an RP23 shock. Check out my previous ad:

Could be willing to split for the right price.

It's a decent small frame, and should be fine for someone at 5 foot i'd have thought.

I know this falls into what you say you didn't want, but i have a small 2006 SC Heckler for sale with brand new DHX shock. £275. Pics below. Its in sound condition, just fairly scuffed but a good coat of black car polish would smarten her up nicely. Hasn't been ridden for 18 months and only sporadically for another 6 - 12 months before that due to injury and other time constraints.
