Grams/pounds. What's the weight of a 16" frameset?
My 17" complete Mukluk weighs 37lbs unloaded
The rear wheel (geared) weighs 9.5lb's on it's own.
It was 52lbs last Friday with 3 full bottles of water, food, camera, spare's and stuff

In 2 bottle mode a couple of days before
My pugs is around 39 lbs with tools and water with an Alfine 8 speed and 36H Large Marge rims. but going back to Hope pro 2 rear and mechs so be down to around 35 lbs (race wippet :o)
Featherweights! Much the same as my 456SS ๐
Are these draggy to ride with the fat/wide/sand combo going on?
That was lucky finding the only brick on the beach.
Most of the weight in a fatbike is because of the wheels.

I can't find my tyre weights, but they are substantial.
I see no reason why a Pug set up as a 29er shouldn't be more or less the same weight as any other steel 29er.
my wheels are 12 lbs alone for the pair - with tires and tubes !
only thing is - despite being lighter it will ride like a dog on 29ers - angles are bananas to stop plowing on corners.

Surly list the 18" as 5.6lb for the frame and 2.2lb for the fork.
Surly Pugsley with racks & mudguards - 19.3 kg or 42.5 lbs.

What came first when you bought them, the need for a bike like that or you liked the look? OOI
my sandman is my most used bike atm - so much fun ! riding over babys head boulders - no sweat !
I can see it used as a tool to get me out of the house. Miles of sand, few people around, no mobile phone reception. Idyllic!
