So I read the Krampus (the 'old' green one) has quite a high BB, which leads me to think that a nice big 27.5+ wheel set might work on it. Just curious if any owners have tried it?
No, but I did fit 2.4 tyres to the wheels, so 'normal' 29er diameter and it rode fine. I imagine that 27.5+ might be a little lower again, but not stupidly so.

Yes should be. Not sure why you'd want to though. It's bloody great with 3" 29er tyres on 😀
Not quite the same, but I've put 27.5+ tyres on a first gen Genesis Longitude. The frame is designed for wider 29" tyres and is 29+ capable, but rides very nicely with 27.5+ (nicer than 29+ IMHO). The only minor issue is occasional pedal strikes in rockier terrain.
